Are you getting married in 2011? If so, don't miss the opportunity to take part in Beeld's Bride of the Year competition.
The winner of this competition for 2011 will receive a cash prize of R20 000 as well as 12 bottles of sparkling wine from J.C. Le Roux.
J.C. Le Roux will also give the brides in the second and third positions six bottles of sparkling wine each and four bottles to each of
the other nine finalists. The Bride of the Year will also win a two-night dream breakaway for two at The Stanley And Livingstone at the
Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Jenna Clifford's gift to the winner is a consultation with Jenna Clifford herself where she will design a unique piece of jewellery for
the winner. Included in the first prize is also a holiday of four days for six persons at Lake Longmere, Clifford's guest house in
Mpumalanga. The winning bride's mother will receive houseware. The 11 remaining finalists will each win a Jenna Clifford gift pack
consisting of houseware.
The Bravo group will present the winner with a lounge suite of her choice. The winning bride will receive a bed and bed linen from Sealy.
From the fashion designer and stylist Simon Rademan she will receive a consultation and an exclusive evening dress with matching juwellery,
an elegant, sensual night dress and a powder coat. The runner-up will win two nights for the couple at the Valley Lodge in Magaliesburg.
This will include four-star accommodation, dinner and breakfast.
The bride in the third place will win a breakaway for two at the five-star Clico boutique guesthouse in Rosebank, Johannesburg. Beeld's Bride
of the Year for 2011 will be selected next year during a prestige occasion in cooperation with the wedding designer Lorraine Ehlers of Papilio

COMPETION RULES
Brides who got married in January 2011, can now enter for Beeld's Bride of the Year competition for 2011.
Entries must reach Beeld before 12:00 on the closing date.
No exceptions will be allowed for late entries.
Only brides who got married in 2011, may enter.
Brides may only enter for the month in which they got married.
Beeld retains the right to request marriage certificates.
Keep to the closing dates.
TO ENTER, TYPE YOUR ANSWERS TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS ON A A4 PAPER:
1. Where did the two of you meet?
2. How long have you known each other?
3. What are your occupations?
4. What are your interests?
5. What do you both define as a happy marriage?
Provide the names of the bride and groom, wedding date, address, email address and contact numbers.
Paste a clear head and shoulders photo as well as a full-length photo of the bride (colour or black and white, any size) on two separate sheets of
A4-size carton. Write the bride's name on the back of the carton.
No photocopies or email entries will be accepted. Photos will not be returned. No employees or relatives of the sponsors or Media24 may take part.
Beeld shall not accept responsibility for sponsors who do not honour their obligations or for entries that get lost. Not all entries will be published.
A first selection will be done by a panel. The bride who receives the most votes for the month she takes part in, will be selected as a finalist.
If a finalist for some reason or other cannot attend the crowing ceremony, she forfeits her chance to compete for the title of Bride of the Year. She
will, however, still receive her prizes as a finalist. Beeld's editor shall have the right to disqualify any bride at any stage who behaves in a way
that may compromise Beeld, the competition or the relevant finalist's (finalists') good name. This includes (but does not solely restrict) behaviour
which leads to the finalist's arrest, court appearance, involvement in a police investigation (even before the finalist is found guilty of misconduct)
and improper or scandalous behaviour, whether this is published in the media or not. The judges' decision shall be final and no correspondence shall
be entered into on the competition.
